Se pone harina en un barreño, con sal, agua corriente, al tiempo que se amasa se ​​le va añadiendo aceite, sin dejar de amasar. Se deja reposar. Se raya el tomate y se trocea el pimiento en partes muy pequeñas.

En una sartén con aceite de oliva se fríen los tomates y los pimientos finalmente se le añaden los ajos cortados en láminas.

Sobre una llanta de bordes altos, se forman las tortas, de un centímetro de espesor y se vierte la fritura sobre ellas. Se meten el horno sobre una hora.

Antes las mujeres llevaban las tortas al horno de pan. Esta acción se denominaba “ir a girar”. Las llantas eran depositadas sobre un tablón de madera, tapadas con un tapete. Para ir allí al horno las mujeres llevaban el tablón con las tortas encima de la cabeza.
